Sherrer is a Durant native and restaurant owner. He started his education at the old Russell Elementary school on the SOSU campus and earned a degree in sociology with a double minor in business and aviation. Sherrer says he considers himself to be an independent thinker and is willing to listen to all perspectives to make objective decisions that will benefit Durant citizens.
