Training Modes

There are activities within each mode of training that officers must complete before moving on to the next level of training.  Each phase has a set of guidelines that represent the specific activities that were identified that police officers engage in while performing in a given mode of policing.

The training modes are:

  • Report Writing
  • Problem-Solving Skills
  • Legal Authority
  • Officer Safety
  • Ethics
  • Cultural Diversity
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Leadership
  • Communication Skills
  • Self Awareness

Pass-point standards are provided as a tool for evaluation and set performance standards for the trainee to strive for in each category.
