Deputy City Manager - Operations

Education and Experience

Jacque J. Wilson joined the City of Durant as Program Manager in March 2016, taking the reins as Deputy City Manager, Operations, in early 2017.  He is passionate in his pursuit of continuous improvements and development for the City, as well as beautification, recycling, and ecological projects.  Jacque is active on the Parks and Recreation, Cemetery, and Airport Advisory Boards and enjoys volunteering in the community.  He is the City representative for the Durant Main Street program and serves as a strategic consultant for Imagine Durant.

Jacque served as a Command Pilot in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel after 23 years of military service.  He has extensive experience in nuclear operations, program management, and combat squadron command, including missions in direct support and protection of congressional and senior U.S. military leaders.  Jacque is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a BS in Science and holds an MSN with Information Technology specialization from Lesley University.
