Education and Experience

Donnalla Miller began working with the City of Durant in 2014 as a Human Resources Consultant and joined the organization full time in August of the following year as the Human Resources Manager. In early 2016 Ms. Miller became the Director of Administration and began assisting the City Manager with the day-to-day operation of seven additional departments.

Ms. Miller served as Acting City Manager for five months in 2016 while the Council conducted their search for a full time replacement. As the Deputy City Manager of Administration, Ms. Miller has responsibility for Human Resources, Public Relations, Utility Billing, Finance, Internet Technology, City Clerk and the Library.

Donnalla graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in HR Management and she holds a Master of Science degree in Training and Development from Texas A&M University,  She is a member of the International City/County Management Association and has received her certification from the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.

A few examples of how Ms. Miller engages locally and at the state level are: serving as a  member of the Governor's Council for Workforce and Economic Development, Chair of the Southern Workforce Board, and Adjunct Professor for the Reach Higher Program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
